| Our main
building was an officers' casino (mess) around the turn
of the century. High ranked soldiers – stationed in the Káli Basin
– enjoyed theirs evenings and meals in this beautiful house (and
so will you today) The building was bought in 1996, restored carefully
– keeping every ancient detail – and furnished with antiques. The
building consists of the dining room, the kitchen, the office, the
wine cellar, the studio and the library. Our library is equipped
with books, tv and a stereo. We also have a 50 year old radio set
(which we still use). |

| We offer
8 standard sized double rooms. If you need more
space (extra beds) check out our larger rooms. Six of those eight
rooms have big and comfortable double-beds. Two rooms have two seperate
beds. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. They are equipped with
radio and color tv (on request). Three of them have a bathtub, five
rooms have a shower. So you are free to choose your preference.
All rooms have their own little patio for your private leisure.
On the patio you´ll find chairs, a small table and plenty of quietness.
Have a snack or a good book and watch the birds fly by and hear
the silence (disturbed only by the sounds of mother nature).

| We offer 3
larger double rooms, too, where there is plenty of space
for extra or baby beds. All of these rooms are in a beautiful stone
building (which was a stable some decades ago) next to our main
house. These rooms are large enough to put in up
to two additional beds. So if your family is big, these rooms are
perfect for you. By the way: all our rooms are non-smoking rooms.
Your private bathroom is on the first floor (down the stairs) and
feautures the same characteristic stone walls as the whole building.
The room on the first floor has a direct access private bathroom.

rose bushes grow. |

In
the apartment house, we are awaiting our guests
- arriving with older children or a circle of friends - with two
bedrooms and a fully furnished kitchen. The friendly and sunny living
room, serving for a lunchroom, too, is perfect for an evening siesta. |
In
the Káli Art Inn you can, according to your taste, paint with pastel,
water color, oil or acryl. You can purchase canvas and colors on
site. It is our aim to inspire your
fantasy and to help you appreciate art to the full. If you like,
you can paint plein-air in different places of the surrounding countryside
and villages. Also the studio in the attic story
of the main building – offering a beautiful view towards the lake
– waits at your disposal. A separate lavatory and bathroom – with
shower – is at your disposal in the studio. |

In
chilly weather we offer our breakfast in the authentic dining
room of our main building, in the summer we suggest our
patio (covered by vine) or the garden (covered by sunshine).
For breakfast, we serve home-made fruit yoghurt, freshly
baked croissant, home made fruit jam and egg dishes. You
can select from the best Hungarian wines to match our three-course
lunch or dinner menus. There is always a special offer for
vegetarians and children. |

Our
newly opened restaurant follows in every respect the interior
and the quality of the rest of the inn which our regular
guests appreciate so much. There is no menu card, nor waiters,
we prepare our lunch and dinner menus from fresh ingredients
every day, with spices from our herb garden. Almonds, apples
and peaches from our trees and special local herbs – like
basil, thyme and marjoram – from our garden also serve as
basics for a lot of our dishes.

Imagine a holiday where you
wake up to an ample breakfast and then – if you want
to – walk or bike through the Hungarian countryside.
Maybe even paint. Or just read the books you never
have time for. Before bed, enjoy a glass of fine wine
in the garden under the moonlight.
Your kids will love the playground
(near the pool) including the sandbox and the little
natural pond (iwith frogs).
